Released: 7 to 26 August 2026 (versions 2.6, 3.0 and 3.1)
The biggest release since QueryHub. Eido can now see inside a Windows device, investigate a ticket for you, and answer questions in plain English.
The Eido Client#
The Eido Client is a small agent for Windows devices. Everything else in Eido comes from what Intune already knows. The client adds what Intune cannot tell you, straight from the device.
- Live tools: look at a device’s processes, services, event logs, network and signed-in users from the portal, without a remote control session.
- Deep inventory: hardware, disks, batteries, network adapters, installed applications, browser extensions, certificates, security posture and more, each as its own Query Hub view.
- Performance monitoring: processor, memory, disk and any Windows performance counter you choose.
- Windows events: blue screens, application crashes, failed installs and MDM errors.
- Windows 11 readiness and Secure Boot: which devices can upgrade, and which still carry Secure Boot certificates that are due to expire.
- App Metering: application usage collected by the client, alongside the agentless method.
The Eido Client is made available on request, is switched on per Intune tenant, and you deploy it yourself through Intune. See The Eido Client and Security and compliance.
Eido AI#
Eido AI is made available on request. It has two parts.
- AI Diagnostics reads a ServiceNow incident, works out which device and user it is about, investigates the device with the Eido Client, and writes what it found back to the ticket. It can suggest a fix, and an administrator decides whether a fix always waits for a person.
- Intune Changes records every change to a policy, describes it in plain English, shows how many devices it reaches, and links it to the tickets that followed.
See AI Diagnostics, Intune Changes and Eido AI.
Odie, the assistant on every page#
Odie answers questions about your estate and about Eido itself, and builds reports, dashboards and workbooks when you ask for them. Everything he does runs with your own permissions.
Odie has his own switch under Admin, Odie Assistant. He does not need Eido AI, and each person can hide him for themselves in their settings.
See Odie, Things to ask Odie and Odie Assistant.
The new Trends#
Try the new Trends opens a new page: a score for each of five categories, then every policy and app on its own line, with a drill-down to the devices affected on any one day. The original Trends page is still there.
See Trends.
Redesigned pages#
- Endpoints and device details have been redesigned, with the Eido Client’s inventory, tools and events alongside what Intune reports.
- Admin opens on a page of tiles, one for each area you can manage.
- Remote Assistance is now called Remote Sessions.
See Endpoints and Device details.
Also in this release#
- Confirming it is you. Before an action that changes something outside Eido, such as deploying a policy template or restoring a policy from a backup, Eido asks you to sign in to Microsoft again. See Security and your data.
- More user properties. The Users view carries more of each person’s Entra profile, to filter and group by. See Users.
- Policy drill-down. Press a policy on a device to see its settings and the result of each one, read from Intune at that moment. See Device details.
