Released: 21 October 2026
This release makes access easier to manage, makes dashboards quicker to build, adds options for organisations that still run Configuration Manager alongside Intune, and puts the Help Documentation inside Eido.
Help Documentation, inside Eido#
The Help Documentation you are reading now ships with Eido. Open it from Help Documentation at the foot of the sidebar.
- It matches the version of Eido you are using, in every region.
- It has a reference page for every Query Hub view: what a row is, and what every column means. See Views.
- It says what Eido reads from your Microsoft tenant, and how often. See Permissions Eido needs and What Eido syncs.
- Odie answers “how do I” questions from it, and links the article he used. See Things to ask Odie.
- Any article can be saved with Download PDF, and Subscribe to updates emails you when an article changes.
- Some articles are for customers only, and open once you are signed in to Eido.
Link a role to an Entra group#
A role can now be filled from the membership of an Entra security group, as well as by assigning people by hand. Put somebody in the group and they get the role the next time they sign in. Take them out and they lose it.
- Use it for a role alone, or alongside people you have assigned yourself.
- A person who has left the group is refused at their next sign-in.
- A linked role never takes administrator access away from somebody who already has it.
See Linking roles to Entra groups.
ServiceNow software usage#
ServiceNow can now read application usage from Eido for Software Asset Management, and send Eido the reclamation rules that decide what is metered.
See ServiceNow.
Existing reports as widgets#
A Query Hub report that you can already see can be added to a dashboard or a workbook as a widget, without building the query again.
See Building a dashboard and Workbooks.
Configuration Manager and co-managed devices#
- Exclude by management agent in a tenant’s device scoping leaves out devices that Intune reports as managed by Configuration Manager alone, or as co-managed.
- Odie now understands how a device is managed, and says so when a question is about a device that Intune does not fully manage.
See Tenant settings.
Your own Windows end of support dates#
OS Lifecycle in tenant settings lets you override the end of support date Eido holds for a Windows version, for one tenant. Use it when you have extended support for a version, or want to retire one sooner than Microsoft does.
See Tenant settings.
Also in this release#
- Entra Device ID is a column on the Devices view, and its two serial number columns have names that say which is which. See Devices.
- Autopilot deployments are read at every sync, about once an hour. See What Eido syncs.
- App Metering through the Eido Client records the version of each application, and is more reliable on devices in every time zone. See App Metering.
- An incident that Eido raises in ServiceNow carries its description.
- Fixes and performance improvements across Query Hub reports, filters, warranty lookups and device details.
